HBO just got into Second Life Movie Making big time according to Valleywag with “My Second Life: The video diaries of Molotov Alta”, a short Second Life Movie film that takes place in….. yep, Second Life.  In fact, I wrote about Second Life Movie - care of HBO over at Webmetricsguru.com and The Second Life Movie - HBO getting into Second Life Movie Making at BigGreenBlog; in this post I’m going to examine Second Life Movies as they pertain to Art.

One thing that’s clear is you need to know how to make a Second Life Movie and there’s some Video Tutorials over at the Second Life Wiki, such as How to use gestures in Second Life Movie Making and how to make a movie in Second Life (which is useful as I don’t know how to make a Second Life movie yet).

I think the Second Life Movie Trailer Contest 2006 was somewhat disappointing in that making a movie about getting a Second Life is so two dimensional and already overdone, that I don’t see why it won an award for the best Second Life Movie Trailer last year…but that’s just my opinion - maybe you ought to watch it to see for yourself.
