3D Television and going to an opening with my work in it
Ok, I’m going to an opening with two of my own works in it tonight and I’m a little nervous - but it’s not an obvious nervousness - it’s more of an “I don’t care” nervousness. I’ve been hovering around the house all morning and afternoon - trying to take care of business before leaving for San Francisco tomorrow morning for Emetrics Summit - which will be a pretty interesting experience, I suspect.
By the way, here’s the url in Facebook (if your into Facebook) for my event tonight Art Opening in Williamsburg at Heart and Soul Pilates and I also created a Fan page for my own art - figured … why not? If I don’t believe in my own art, who else would? But I do believe in it - so I created the Fan Page for Marshall Sponder - and it’s here.
Ok, just want to bring up a point - somewhat unrelated, but related - that technology and art are really necessary together to make something worth looking at, long term. Thursday morning I went to a showing of 3D Television and my thoughts are - it’s not really a new technology but what was being shown was post production improvements - and I could not really get that excited about it - why - because post production improvements in 3D Television don’t have much if any thing to do with me.
For technology to be interesting - it needs to have a message beyond …. my technology is cool. Still glad I went and here’s the video, below, along with my thoughts about what I saw on Thursday morning. I also wrote a post about 3D Television at The Analytics Guru - my personal blog for technology and Web Analytics - 3D HD Stereoscopic Television.
And now - here’s the movie I made about 3D Television - remember to look at the last minute to get my reflections on what I saw at 3D Television in NYC
