I drew a few portraits of friends, mostly new friends, the first being Melissa – who I need to hunt down and get her email address – I realized her strong, refined jaw needed to be supported by her long, smooth neck and as I drew her – I picked up all kinds of images – energies I often feel connected to, much as an empath, i put my soul into my work and I see it … I see my soul going right into my drawings.

Two more drawings I did of Sflady, a friend who lives in the suburbs of San Francisco

I can’t say the second drawing does justice to the first – I could not resolve parts of the sflady’s face, and I tried to capture what I could in the brief time I did this sketch – but needed more – still, my soul went into it.
