Well, here’s another nude study I did today, it’s the 4th I have done in the last month.  Got kinda fed up – I did not have any acrylic medium left and found I could not manipulate the paint (which has been a problem even with the Acrylic Medium).  Decided to just concentrate on structure and texture and forget about trying to capture the model’s features.

The less I try to paint what is in front of me the better the painting looks after I step away from the model.   I have a picture of this model but in a different pose; the model’s hair blends in with the background/curtain behind the couch she’s reclining on.

Was trying to use paint to support the model – ie: make brushwork that supports the arm of the model that supports her head. 

I’m surprised that some people seem to like this work – I see so many shortcomings – but at least I’m being “me” – I am not copying anyone – what you see is what you get (but I hope you get more than you see).
