Last week was Busy – and that was an understatement
I was really happy with the Standing Self Portrait I did last weekend (8 or 9 days ago) and am getting ready to make my next set of MOO Cards with that image in Last few days and Standing Self Portrait
However, over the last week I was at evening gatherings and conferences non-stop and had little chance do more than sketch – and I did some nice sketches at the Metropolitan Museum Saturday night – I was kinda upset at how a situation was going for me and had some free time between the Blogger Social dinner I was attending later in the evening at so I went over to the Met and drew from sculpture and felt much better.
I’ll put some of that drawing work up the next time I get a chance to scan my notebook drawings. BTW, I finally finished my first black sketchbook that covered 9 months or so of my personal drawings – many that I put up here. I bought a new book at Da vinci Art Store, on 21st Street – the only place I know that I can find these perfect drawing notebooks – and now I am carrying around a new one.
I love sketching and feel as if my soul is going into my drawings – maybe it is.
One more thing – here’s a video I made last week while attending Virtual Worlds 2008 and Blogger Social 08.
I had this idea that if I imagined my sketch before I did the sketch – somehow it would alter the drawing for the better – and I did it – and it worked! I wonder if it works for everything else – the power of imagination.
