Neither Here nor Now at the ISE Cultural Foundation
I was at NEITHER HERE NOR NOW: TRANSFORMATION IN TIME, SPACE AND PERSPECTIVEÂ last night; it was also snowing quite a bit, the downstairs gallery space was packed.
It was hard to see the work but I had no awareness of the ISE, or it’s curator program, till last night.
I liked Kieran McGonnell’s “Construct” painting:
I also liked Diane Tanchak and Taliah Lempert’s drawings.
I tried to hook up with my friends via Dodgeball – but gave up as I could not figure out where the Venue’s I was getting on my Mobile Phone corresponded to. It’s a little bit of an “Art” to learn to connect up with my Art Network of friends in New York… but I think I’ll have the hang of it soon.Â
I find when I come to a show like this one, at the Foundation, I really don’t talk to anyone…maybe I’ve gotten too “out of it” but I need to feel like I know someone a little bit to talk…sometime a little wine or beer does help (but I often pay for that later by being really tired when I get home or maybe saying too much …when I have more than, say, two glasses of red wine – I can become quite outspoken!).
Oh well…. I did not really speak with anyone last night …. but I did not mind….as I made my way in the snowy/streets to Canal Street and then ended up on a Q Train that let me to Park Slope ….. where I walked a ways to get to a familiar restaurant … have a hot bowl of Chili (which seemed like the right thing to eat on a night like this) and then I went home.
