LAB MAG @ Eyebeam
I never went over to Eyebeam before and always meant to - and tonight, I did - though the show launching for LABMAG I saw was not that interesting to me.
This is a photo from outside the entrance to Eyebeam - it’s the best I could take as nothing much came out that I took inside - it was too dark inside - and even if I had been able to take pictures - the show going on was not engaging enough to me to really want to.
As Cezanne said (or someone said … I’m too exhausted to think clearly right now) - Art begins with an emotional response. Well….I did not have one tonight …. better luck next time - Eyebeam.
BTW, here’s the copy for the show I saw tonight.
“..  LAB MAG Launch, December 12, 2006
Eyebeam is please to host the launch of LAB MAG, a fluid Portable Document Format publication, which collects the work of artists, designers and writers. The launch format will include a series of presentations (beginning at 6:30PM) by architect Vito Acconci of Acconci Studio, experimental-poet Jena Osman, artist Adam Pendleton and design firm O-R-G. “
That’s about as much as I can tell you about tonight’s show at Eyebeam as I did not really spend much time at the gallery.
