I gave out my last Moo Card tonight at a Designer’s Meetup in Manhattan and was hoping I’d have a new set in my mailbox tonight when I got home - and I did.
Here’s my favorite of the set - I usually order 2 boxes (200 cards) and the second set will probably show up Thursday.

Google Books has a new feature allowing anyone to take a part of a public domain book that Google has scanned and embed it into a blog.
And guess what I picked to embed…. a page from my favorite painter, Paul Cezanne.

By the way, I’m getting ready to send 2 paintings to Christine Boulet, my friend who lives in Aix-en-Provence.  I miss Aix, miss Cezanne and had a good time with Christine.
Here’s the paintings I did last month of Christine, after I got back from France. Darn, wish I spent more time there.  Maybe next time.

I also had some Moo Cards made up recently, and these two images among those on the cards.

I did not hang out long at Lazy Limabean’s The Scene event tonight; lately I’ve been pulled into events that sound like they’re going to be special but when I get there …. it’s a bunch of people hanging around a bar.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that … I just would not have shown up - there’s plenty of MediaBistro mixers, Adotas mixers that I can go to whenever I want.
Anyway, I spent the next hour or two at  ”In The Flesh” reading series at Happy Ending club on Broome Street in the East Village - tracking down my Art Friends via Dodgeball.  Turned out to be a lot of Erotic woman writers - who wrote a lot of erotic stuff - some of it very good.  Needless to say, the audience was “transfixed” - but would you have it any other way?
But I didn’t stay that long either - opting to walk back across Spring Street and capturing a train back to Brooklyn. Actually, I walked a lot tonight and did not mind - I spent most of my day sitting and doing computer work - taking a long walk is a nice change of pace.
Did not see any Art tonight … unless you count the Erotic stories and Poetry I heard as Art (and I would).  I guess, the “visual” part is what you see in your mind.
Anyway, one last piece of news - I finally got around to ordering a batch of “Moo” Cards off the internet. I’ve met several people that have given me half sized cards that have interesting pictures on them … turns out to be much more interesting and memorable than your typical business card. In order to use Moo, I uploaded most of my recent painting work to Flickr (where you can view it online) and had Moo pull my work from my Flickr Account. I should have my cards in about 10 days - shipped from England.
