Open House New York
Open House New York is happening this weekend, October 5th – October 7th, 2007 and not having ever participated or taken advantage of Open House New York before, I’m curious if there’s anything I wanted to see, but haven’t been able to get in, that I can view this weekend (experience it…if you will – and Condense my experiences - see my last post).
For Manhattan: http://www.ohny.org/weekend/listing_results.cfm?action=borough&q=Manhattan places like the Forbes Gallery , The Highline Elevated Subway track (old), Rockefeller Center Rooftop Garden, Rubin Museum of Art, The Science Barge are places I would go to if I had the time.
For Brooklyn: Litchfield Villa in Prospect Park, One Sixty Glass in Williamsburg might be places I’d go to; I live here so there’s not that much I’m inclined to visit this weekend.
Things I wish were in the Manhattan Open House is the painting collection located at 9 West 57th Street that no one can get into without a personal invitation from the owner – yet you can see part of the collection from the street.
